I’m so in love and inspired by this Museum of Natural History Party submitted by Kaye Garcia out of The Philippines! Filled with incredible sweets and awesome decor; it’s a party that will have you craving a trip to the museum!
Museum of Natural History Party
If you have seen any of the Night at the Museum movies, you’ll see the high jinks that take place inside the Natural History Museum when the sun goes down and the museum comes to life. When I first saw this party and the stellar pictures, all I could think of was how lucky everyone was to be at this fun venue and how well the elements of this theme were represented. Have fun with all of the inspirational details–and just think, they might come to life if you stick around till sundown!
Some of my favorite party ideas and elements include:
- An incredible Woolly Mammoth cake
- Custom moss dinosaur and succulent centerpieces
- Artwork and skeletal dinosaur cookies
- Canopy of white paper lanterns
- Animal sweets labels
- Museum-inspired cupcake toppers
- Globe cake pops
- Museum gift shop favors
- and MORE!
This is what Kaye said about the party- “This is one of our original themes. All the images we used for the backdrops of this party were taken at the actual museum of natural history in Manhattan, NY.
Moss dinosaurs were customized and homemade.
The cake was entirely edible. Body was pure cake, limbs were made of crisp rice cereal.”
Wasn’t this birthday party just fabulous? A unique twist on a traditional dinosaur party, that is for sure! If you want to look at other prehistoric party ideas, then don’t hesitate to check out these parties:
