Moby Dick Whale Themed Birthday Party
This is what Stephanie shared about the party- “Boys are hard. I don’t mean in the “rearing + raising” kind of way (although each gender has its own set of challenges for sure) but in the superficial, fun aspects. Yes, I know, first world problems. And for sure they are. But nonetheless, I am always baffled by the number of dinosaur/shark/cheesy saying shirts out there for boys, while the girl section is full of adorable, on trend outfits. What’s with that? Likewise with parties. I have no shortage of amazing party ideas for my daughter, but when it came to planning Finn’s first birthday party I was drawing blanks.
Part of this may have been that I was entirely devastated to see him growing up. It felt so different this time around, I was so so sad. So I procrastinated. Big time.
Eventually I landed on our Moby Dick theme, and it was so fun. I ended up DIYing a number of things as there isn’t a lot of “ready made Moby Dick party supplies” out there. But it wasn’t too hard or time consuming and I was super pleased with how it all turned out. Parties don’t need to be stressful or overly expensive. At the end of the day, everyone had so much fun and that’s the main thing!”
