Big Top Circus Birthday Party

Big Top Circus Party Details:
This is what Julie shared about the party-
“Caroline’s Big Top Circus party has to be one of my all time favorites (although we aren’t supposed to play favorites!). Every once in a while when styling parties, the end result turns out better than you imagined….and this was certainly true with this sweet birthday party!
Party Decor
The backdrop for her dessert table was hand-painted and 3-dimensional, with the plaque standing off the distressed backdrop. To add femininity to this colorful table, we selected a simple, white ruffled table skirt. For a touch of whimsy, we added these amazing elephant standees from Shindigz on either side of the table.
Desserts
Our desserts for this party were so much fun! We started with this stunning 2-tiered buttercream cake draped with red and yellow ribbon and topped with a handcrafted circus tent and animal topper. Vanilla buttercream cupcakes were topped with gold flaming rings and plastic animals. These were such a huge hit with the party guests, many taking their time to select which cupcake and animal topper they wanted as their ‘treat’. Red and white carousel cake ball pops were created by adding gold horse vinyl cutouts to striped straws.
We included some retro toys and a gumball machine on our main table; these served as party decor as well as gifts for the birthday girl.
On the opposite side of our party room, we set up our “concessions” stand and favor table full of fresh apples, popcorn served in individual kraft paper cones, cracker jacks, and peanuts. Favors were simple, which is often my favorite choice; boxes of animal crackers with fun vintage circus favor tags tied on with raffia.
Party Table
Guests enjoyed their snacks and desserts at these beautifully decorated seated tables. Each table was draped in lined burlap linens. One of my favorite details selected for this party were the handcrafted pom pom table runners….they just added so much color and well, just plain fun to the tables.
Our centerpieces alternated between simple mason jars full of natural flowers. We also included fun elephant toys sitting atop colorful rolls of carnival tickets.
During the event, guests enjoyed the skills of Bugga Bugga Balloons, carrying around amazing balloon art and sporting colorfully painted faces and hands. For photo ops, guests old and young alike, enjoyed standing behind our circus cart and in front of our “Step Right Up” standee backdrop where we had a variety of props to strike a pose. The custom made flame was among the favorite props!!!”
