Safari Animal Birthday Party
Safari Animal Party Details:
This is what Tina shared about the party- “This was a party I put together for my daughter’s 2nd birthday. I started planning during maternity leave and gave birth to my second daughter a month and a half before the party. Needless to say, I was juggling nesting for baby #2 and a bit dazed during the whole thing lol.
But really, all that matters is how much fun Harper and friends had.
Harper was obsessed with animals and visited the Oakland Zoo at least once a month, so the theme was easy to drum up. (What kid isn’t into animals at that age?) This was also around the same time decorators were gearing up for summer and adding that popular palm print in pillows and curtains. It was a perfect route to take.
Decor and Venue
I knew I would want it in my home at some capacity, so purchased several yards of Tommy Bahama outdoor fabric for the base of my design. It turned out to be the background.
Additionally, I found myself in awe every time I saw a space with an African juju hat so wanted that to be incorporated as well knowing it would end up in my house somewhere. Who knew they could be so easy to make? Harper’s favorite colors are purple and green, so having her pick the feather color was a win win.
We picked one of her favorite biweekly destinations, La Petite Playhouse, to host it. The venue was perfect and the kids loved it.”
