Seaside Mermaid Party
Seaside Mermaid Party Details:
This is what Royale shared about the party- “When Meri Meri debuted their “Let’s be Mermaids” collection earlier this month, we thought, “Look at this stuff, isn’t it neat?” We knew we had to be part of their world! The iridescent seashell plates were our absolute favorite item! It got us dreaming of blue skies and even bluer surf. Naturally, the beach was the perfect location for this playdate! In Southern California, even an AFTERNOON in January is a perfect time to play in the sand.
For the table settings, we paired the small shell plates and napkins with larger blue ombre plates that reminded us of the horizon. And the cherry on top, or in this case pearl, was the most gorgeous shell cookies we have ever seen–yes those are cookies! Tucked in the shell-shaped gift bags were little pink shell cases filled with whozits and whatzits galore: a mermaid pin, tattoos, and candy pearls.
RTTO created a beautiful living table runner, with clusters of urchin-like air plants, lush green palm fronds, coral-eqsue sweet pea, beautiful proteas and a touch of iridescent “sea foam” woven in. Seashells, coral and paper mermaids could also be found swimming in the sea of flowers. The dreamy watercolor cake sat nestled in the floral reef, with shimmering specs of silver and a donut sea urchin on top. Scattered around the mermaid-sized table (because mermaids don’t use chairs!) were sea-blue velvet pillows, lambskins, and Moroccan rugs, pillows and poufs.
So, if you’ve ever dreamed of being a mermaid, what more are you lookin’ for?”
