Vintage Valentine’s Day High Tea Party
Vintage Valentine’s Day High Tea Party Details:
This is what Anna shared about styling the party: “Each year I like to host a Valentine’s day tea party for the women in our church. A fine excuse to pull out my pretty Royal Albert china, lace tablecloths and doilies.
My colour palette was soft pink and white. I added pretty feminine touches and a hint of vintage. The sweets were served in beautiful white milk glass and hobnail dishes. They were place on a timber white table with a pink ribboned fabric runner.
I made a simple backdrop by clustering small paper flowers together into a heart shape and putting paper roses into each flower. They were attached to a white board with a hot glue gun. My theme was “Perfect Love”, describing the perfect love we find in Jesus to meet the deepest needs of our hearts.
I placed a pink love heart cookie with ‘perfect love’ written on it into each tea cup as a thank you favour for the guests. I also stamped ‘perfect love’ onto calico bags filled with love heart sweets, tied with a vintage tag for each place setting. A small lolly buffet with pink and white lollies filled the dessert table, along with other colour coordinated sweets including mini cupcakes, cake pops, sugar cookies, raspberry melting moment biscuits and a chocolate cake with musk buttercream.”
