Shimmering Mermaid Birthday Party

This is what Melanie shared about the party- “I chose a Mermaid / Under the sea theme for my daughter’s 5th birthday party, because I thought it would be a really fun theme and because Ariel has been the princess of choice in our house for the past few months.

I loved the colour scheme and finding all the bits and pieces to use to bring the party to life.

for the main table I used a gorgeous large sequin fabric table covering, that looked very ‘scale’ like, and a fantastic printable backdrop from 2 Love Birds, that really made the whole table pop. I also made a balloon garland to complete the look.

Gold spray paint transformed 2 paddling pools into a giant Clam shell ‘Ariels grotto’ photo booth complete with pool noodles that I spiraled and some artificial foilage to make seaweed and coral.

All the food, including the cake, was made by me with the exception of the macaron’s that I got from Carinderie; to which I added some edible shells I had made. Invitations and food tents were from Your Main Event Prints, mermaid tails for the gift bags were from Creative Party Studio. I also had a framed mermaid print from Sprinkled Design.

It was such a fun party, we even had a visit from Ariel! I think it’s my favourite party theme so far”!
