“Color me Happy” Art Party for Kids
“Last spring, the Wichita Art Museum reached out to our shop for help throwing a kids’ party fundraiser. We knew we could come up with something fun and creative for it, and wanted to incorporate art since it was for the museum. Bright colors fit the bill and we ran with a color party theme. We picked our six colors to focus on for food and table settings. The two main focal points were made with balloons. We put together a photo wall inspired by an Oh Happy Day! DIY for the kids to have mini photo sessions with the photographer, Sally – made for such fun pictures! We also made a balloon version of the Chihuly masterpiece that is in the entrance of the museum. For the activities, we worked with a local baker to create cookies that the kids could paint on. There were also coloring and make your own candy necklace stations. It was such a fun and colorful afternoon for a good cause!”
