Bookworm Birthday Party
Kaye’s party snippet- “The party begins outside the home. The facade was made to look like a preschool library. A custom “hand drawn” inspired backdrop was made to make it look like a library. Picket fences, fresh sunflower garden and clear umbrellas with felt raindrops were used to complete the look.
Inside, an alphabet chalkboard art was at the center of two color coordinated bookshelves that showcased the celebrant’s favorite books. Guests were allowed to read the books on the egg-shaped chairs and tables.
Outside, low tables were set up with multi-colored modern kiddie chairs like never before seen at parties. Library card inspired placemats were used for each setting. Instead of having a dessert table, sweets were used as centerpieces and they were labeled with witty reference to books as well.
This is a favorite because it’s uncommon, it’s personal and it’s a fun spin on a theme that would be boring but turned out to be festive.”
