I have been designing and planning parties, events, celebrations, birthday bashes, soiree’s and more for over a decade. If you ask my mother she’ll tell you that I was born creating parties. No matter how long I have been designing and celebrating, there is one thing I know for sure, planning an event or party should be fun and exciting. It should not be intimidating or stressful. Don’t believe me? It’s true! You can plan and host any event or party, from a small backyard barbeque to a grand-scale wedding celebration with ease with just a few simple tips and insider knowledge.
There are plenty of people willing to share their planning guides and timelines (including me!) for a stress-free party planning experience, and these things are certainly helpful, but it doesn’t stop there. If you are going to truly enjoy your event planning, you need the right tools. Just like a carpenter needs top-notch sanders, saws, levels, and jigs and a mechanic needs the best lifts, multimeters, impact wrenches, compressors, and screwdrivers, a party planner needs the right tools too. From small things like a glue gun, scissors, and wire to the larger items such as carts, cameras, props, tables, and chairs.

The Party Superhero
Recently I was introduced to my new party superhero. Tall, perfectly proportioned, rugged design, and caster wheels that make them easy to navigate around my garage. But, that is just the short list. I want to share with you how my Gladiator® Upright Freezer and All Refrigerator made my most recent party design a stress-free success
Backyard 4th of July Party with Gladiator
I love patriotic holidays. From Memorial Day through the 4th of July, I am in heaven. I had the chance to style a backyard Independence Day party this year and love how it all came together.
It was a fabulous few days preparing for this party. There were to be lots of friends and family to celebrate, so we needed to start early to prepare. We took the following steps:
- Prepare a guest list and tally the number of guests
- Create a party design and secure a location
- Plan a menu and purchase the food and drinks needed
- Gather necessary items for the set up of the party
- Start preparing food for the party the day prior
- Have lots of help to set up the party design the day prior (if possible).
- Relax on the day of the party and have fun!
It’s often easier to set up the party prior to the day of, but I often hear complaints in the area of food preparation. Especially when juggling a large number of guests, it can be difficult to find room in your refrigerator to put all the drinks, treats, salads, and more. For this reason, I was thrilled to have my Upright Freezer and All Refrigerator. See, that is the innovative thing about my new Gladiator products. No longer do I have to divide my cooling space between the refrigerator part and the freezer part of my appliance. I have an All Refrigerator, plus a seperate Upright Freezer. See them side-by-side here:
Want to know my favorite part of these appliances? Well, one of my favorite parts….the step-to-open refrigerator and freezer. The only ones in the industry! The foot pedal is very easy to use and doesnt require too much strength to open. When I was holding that huge water dispenser I didn’t even have to wonder how I was going to juggle it while trying to open the refrigerator. Life changing!
As you can see, we planned the menu and went shopping and even prepped the food and placed it in containers beforehand. This refrigerator and freezer are an organizers dream! There is a little cubby on the door that is perfect for frozen pizzas, and look at all that ice I was able to pile on the industrial style shelf! And, in the All Refrigerator, there is a perfect easy-fit spot for all of my 2-liter soda bottles, a pull-out basket for heavy foods like watermelon, and look at the heavy glass containers I was easily able to place on the middle shelf! Oh, and a perfect pull out basket drawer for the flowers to chill.
So many shelves and cubbies for optimal storage. My traditional freezer was never organized this well! It was always a “dig for what you think you have” operation.
I could have easily placed 3 more bags of ice on that heavy duty shelf!
Easy step-to-open feature. Did I mention it was my favorite part?
My water is perfectly chilled and salads prepped beforehand. Look how much weight this metal shelf holds! Plus, I have never had room to place my flowers without worry of them being smashed.
Perfect placement for 2-liter bottles, wine bottles, or glass soda bottles. Not to mention room for sauces, spreads, and other condiments.

4th of July Party: Welcome Home!
We did a main table for the guests of honor. We placed blankets and had extra portable chairs.
Rustic elements were the base of the party design. We also incorporated the American Flag and white floral elements everywhere we could.
Place settings with blue-rimmed plates and gold silverware tied with red striped ribbon.
Look at the perfectly chilled Jell-O!
Alternating rows of strawberries and pound cake make delightful stripes for an American flag. A bin of blueberries rounds it out, acting as the stars background.
This potato salad was so delicious and easy to prepare! Storage in the All Refrigerator made it seamless.
Happy Independence Day!
