“Fairies Welcome” Birthday Party
Jamie’s party snippet-
“My friends daughter was turning 4 and she loves everything fairies, so I put together the cutest little party for her & 7 fairy friends. They all had coordinating dresses and were so excited when they came into the backyard and saw the party set up. Their faces got so big and they took off running to check it all out. I set up one main table with snacks and sweets as well as their favor boxes they got to take home.
Since we were in the backyard garden area and there were birds all around I wanted to incorporate some bird accents as well. I used hanging birdcages for the backdrop and filled them with moss & wicker balls. The cake topper was a bird nest and we set up a little grazing bar full of bird food for the kids to snack on. We had fairy cake cupcakes and heart shaped jelly cookies. It was such a cute display.
Tea Cart Beverage Bar:
I painted an old tea cart of mine a pretty mint green and used that for the drink station. The lemonade bottles I picked up from the store were so pretty, but I wanted to cover the labels to make it coordinate better. All you have to do is wrap it in some pretty ribbon and the ugly labels are gone. I incorporated a few tea party details as well since the birthday girl loves tea parties so on the bottom two shelves of the tea cart I set up a mini fairy tea party and set out a tea set for the birthday girl to take home.
For the kids table I kept it simple by using pretty fairy plates and wooden silverware. Another birdcage was used for the centerpiece and I wrapped some bubble bottles to match the drink bottles so it all coordinated. Instead of chairs I used throw pillows for the girls to sit on which was a fun touch.
I always like to incorporate an activity or craft into my parties, so I picked up some small bird feeder favors. I painted them different colors to match the party and set them out on the table with some moss and pretty jewels. The girls took turns decorating their birdfeeder and then got to take it home with a small jar of bird seed. I made matching place settings and bird feed labels to pull it all together and it was adorable!
All the fairies had a fairy good time and little Avery said it was the greatest day ever!”
