Havana Nights + Cuban-inspired Birthday Party
Havana Nights-inspired Birthday Party Details:
This is what Carla shared about the party-
‘ “Havana, ooh na-na(ay,ay). Half of my heart is in Havana ooh na-na…” I’m sure anyone who hears the word Havana, will sing to the song by Camila Cabello. So, because of this hit song and because we wanted a party that’s unique, our chosen theme was a Cuban Havana Nights Party.
The Havana Nights theme became our favorite one because we wanted something cool and colorful. We also realized that there has really been no featured kids party that has the Havana Theme to it. It was a special birthday because aside from my son, Carlos Martin or otherwise known as Carlito, it was also my father’s 64th birthday on the exact same day, March 3. My father just had a kidney transplant last year and it was a real blessing that we were able to celebrate their birthdays together. Although the real highlight was really Carlito’s first birthday, we also made sure that the blowing of the cake was a joint one.
We got the help of the talented Dianne Khu to execute our ideas. The cake and pastries were made by Sugarplum where the highlight was the red vintage car, pineapple, and hats. Since its a kids party, instead of serving real cigars, our cookies were the cigars.
Party Favors and More
To add to the theme, all the giveaways were all custom made to a Havana theme design. The kids give-away lunch bags were designed with pineapple, vintage car, musical instruments, and mojito cocktails drinks. The adult prizes/giveaways were Made in Candy with cocktail designs and flavors. We also got mojito scented colognes from L’ Atelier de Christine Luillier Colognes.
A Havana nights party is not complete without the real cocktail drinks, so we also got a margarita booth from Margarush. There was Frozen alcoholic margarita for the adults and a lime slushie for the kids. Everyone was able to enjoy their drinks until the end of the party.
We also got a Fluffed Cotton Candy booth because they have cotton candy flavors that are cocktail inspired as well such as pina colada and strawberry basil.
Furthermore, we also made sure that the attire of the celebrants was in line with the theme. So I had their guayaberas (traditional Cuban polo shirt) made through Felipe and Sons. We also ordered personalized hats from Travellers Boutique to match it.”
