Vintage Alice in Wonderland Inspired Cake Smash
Tosha’s party/photo shoot description- “So, this session came to me from a mom who wanted a vintage Alice in Wonderland theme for her daughter’s first birthday. I LOVE doing styled sessions, and this one was one that I couldn’t wait to put together. First, I went on Pinterest to find ideas (go figure) and then with the $100 of the styled session budget that the client has included in the session fee, I purchased florals from Auburn Blooms (seriously my favorite florist), cake from Amy Lynn’s Cakes and then went to Amazon to find some other items.
I found some really cute vintage playing cards and keys and borrowed some key elements from Megan at It’s All in the Details – my savior for anything vintage and ideas on how to style. Old frames and teacups strung up in the trees with key details on the table tops. Beautiful rose arrangements in teacups and a beautiful silver tea set with a platter. The terrariums made beautiful accent pieces, filled with moss and some vintage Alice in Wonderland playing cards. I borrowed some old books and had Amy do some funfetti cupcakes with “eat me” toppers. I made a little “drink me” potion bottle and filled them with water and food coloring.
Audrey’s mom brought the vintage highchair and “ONE” banner and couldn’t have chosen outfit choices for her. I think that the whole session came out super beautiful, and all fit together very well.”
