Disney Pixar Cars Birthday Party
Cars Themed Birthday Party Details:
When we were starting to look for ideas for our 2 Year old’s birthday party, we initially thought about styling a Wiggles party for him but this all changed when little Aiden professed his love and loyalty for Disney Cars. We’ve lost track of the countless re-runs of Car’s 1,2 & 3 in our household. When we started to look for ideas and inspiration, we wanted something that was going to stand out.
Some of the props we used have been custom made so they are one-of-a-kind. Fortunately, the hubby has some graphic and design skills so we put him to the test.
Below is how we created our Disney Cars story
Pitt Pass Lanyard – Made our own personalised Pitt Pass for the kids using lanyards bought of eBay and artwork created by us at Propular.
Welcome sign, posters and favor bags – Artworks created by hubby Michael Phan
Cactus – Made from MDF wood, the bottom has an incision to cross over panels so it’s free standing (sourced online). We used poster paint to finish off and refresh the cactus look.
Rusteze Oil Drum – Sourced oil drums off gumtree and printed a high res rusteze logo to place in the middle.
Piston Cup – Gold trophy and checkered ribbon bought off eBay, printed logo to stick on ribbon and used cello bags to fill the cups with mini MnM’s.
Kids Tables – Bought red tablecloth and road stickers from K-Mart, and black runners online. Cut out lightning McQueen eyes to stick onto red cups. Found the artwork on Pinterest
Kids Chairs This was originally checkered flags which I pulled apart to use as chair sashes on our kids gladiator/Americana chairs.
White Rim Tyres (Plates) – You can find these plates in any party stores. I bought mine from Big-W (9inch white, 7inch black & 6inch white).
Car’s Prop – Was going to make these out of boxes myself but fortunately we found a guys who already made these for his daughters party. This was a relief! as mine wouldn’t look as detailed.
Doughnut Wall We Created a Luigis Casa Della Doughnut banner and used chocolate coated Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
Racing Podium – Used 4 black milk crates and secured them with cable ties. Bought wooden numbers and screwed onto crate with black cardboard filling. – Ling Sau
