Game of Thrones Party
Game of Thrones Party Details:
This is what Christine shared about the party- “I am a huge Game of Thrones fan! Of course, I had to celebrate the final season of the show with some of my fellow GOT nerd friends. I am a DIY crafter of decorations. Who can not love how much inspiration there is in the show to handmade props or decor? I made an iron throne out of plastic cocktail spears that were used as a cake topper for a cake dripping with blood.
Dragon Eggs and More
I made a set of three dragon eggs out of metal push pins, and 3-D printed a whole variety of GOT objects, including Joffrey Baratheon’s crown, the Night King, and Hand of the Kingpins (which were used as prizes for winners of a show prediction quiz). Then, I cut and sewed house vigil signs to use as part of the backdrop, which was set up to look like a medieval castle. I spray painted dollar store glasses and added fake jewels to look like medieval goblets and decorated the table with metal dishes and old coins.
For the food, I stayed with the medieval theme and pulled together a middle-aged feast, with lots of bread, meat, and cheese, along with with all the witty Game of Thrones named foods like “Brie of Tarth” and “San Salsa”. And of course, there was lots of red wine.
The party was so much fun and I particularly got a kick out of my friends who dressed up in costumes!
