Modern 1st Birthday Fiesta
This is what Thao said about planning/styling the party:
“Our little love bug turned ONE and there was no better theme best fit for him than a vibrant fiesta birthday bash! He is our entire world and has definitely made our lives more vibrant and colorful since the day he came into this world. Our first year with him has been nothing short of amazing and we wanted to throw him the best, most vibrant, and fun birthday party ever!
I loved the idea of a first fiesta for a birthday party, but knew that I didn’t want the traditional color scheme. So, I decided to go with a more vibrant color scheme with a touch of gold. Nothing screams fiesta more than tacos, llamas, and cactus, am I right?!
The decor is all DIY by me except for the beautiful balloon garland arch above the dessert table. Violet Balloonz did such an amazing job on the balloon garland arch. It was just what I needed to complete the dessert table. The mini balloon garland above the favor table, balloon table centerpieces, paper tassel garland were all put together by me. I had so much fun working on all those DIY projects!
Dulces en Abundancia
Rita from M Cakes Sweets once again did not disappoint and definitely surpassed my expectations and really understood my vision. Every single detail on the cake, smash cake, sugar cookies, macarons, and cupcakes were spot on. I couldn’t be more pleased. The dessert table was definitely a photo-op for all our guests to take pictures at. Aside from the dessert table, I wanted guests to have a place to snap pictures at, so I came up with a little photo op area where I had a little taco cart, DIY cactus, and garlands for decorations.
Although this was a kid’s birthday party, I didn’t want the adults to feel left out so I made a sangria bar for all the adults to enjoy. The sangria bar was such a big hit! I mean, who doesn’t love a few glasses of some white & red sangria? And for the kids and other adults who wanted to enjoy some non-alcoholic drinks, there was a juice bar outside with 3 different juice options to choose from: orange, peach, and fruit punch. For food, I hired a taco guy, because how can you have a fiesta party without tacos?! at the end of the party Before the guests head home, they all stopped by the Time Capsule Message station to write down a little message for our little man and grabbed a sweet treat before they head out.
This was such a fun birthday party and I’m so pleased how this party turned out. Our little guy was sick on the day of his party (which explains why he wasn’t smiling in any of the pictures) but he was so determined to stay up and partied with all of his favorite people.”
