Carrot Patch Easter Party
This is what Kham shared about the party:
“My son, Emmett, is a, teething, drooling, big ball of fire! He has such a big personality, and is putting everything in his mouth right now! For his 10 months birthday, I decided to do an Easter photoshoot (yes, I am that mom who celebrates every month right now). If you’re going to do a photoshoot with your baby or young child, please make sure its after they’re fed and well rested! We learned this from his 6 months photoshoot where he cried bloody murder because it cut through his nap time. Therefore, this time, we made sure he was content. Boy, was he happy, especially after eating the macarons!
Food:
I decided to use fresh food for this shoot. One, because I know my child. He puts everything, I mean, everything in his mouth. Secondly, I can reuse it and cook it after. I got to feed my creativity and my belly! It’s a win win! I used cabbage, beets, squash, and Emmett’s favorite, carrots. I think he appreciated that I used fresh foods too because the first thing he grabbed was a carrot that went straight into his mouth!
Decor:
I used Qualatex balloons from North Star Balloons. Honestly, they have the best balloons! They’re always vibrant and last the longest amongst their competitors. The best part is that they are biodegradable! In this case, I used the following balloon colors: coral, white, blush, and metallic gold balloons. You can find the balloons here.
Initially, I planned to do this shoot outdoors at the park, but due to the “stay at home” order, and for the safety of our community and our family, we decided to do it in our living room. We just moved some furniture around, opened the windows, and made it work. You can still create and spread joy during these times. Get creative, have a dance party in your living room, have a household party in the driveway or a movie night in your back yard. Lastly, I hope that you and your family are safe and healthy during this time of uncertainty, and I hope this brings a smile to your face! Happy Easter from this bunny and team HPE!”
