Terra Cotta Cactus Picnic Party
This is what Victoria shared about the party:
“It has been a pretty wild time we’ve all been going through. My niece, Lea, just turned six so while she understands some, she doesn’t understand everything. She said she was okay with not having a birthday party this year, but that didn’t sit well with me. Lea had been pulled out of school and had her entire world turned upside down, so I knew I wanted to find a way to celebrate her.
Lea loves cacti, especially the round ones. I decided to bring a feminine, modern feel to a cactus party theme by pairing terra cotta with sage and pink. I found beautiful plates from The Little Artist that were the inspiration for the whole look of the birthday lunch. There’s nothing that makes me happier than a pretty tablescape, so I focused on the details. There were cactus shaped shot glasses, pink Himalayan salt shot glasses, sage drinking glasses, and terra cotta bowls. Plus, the floral arrangements from Paval Floral were absolutely stunning and fit the vision perfectly. Sharp Balloons provided the amazing balloon cactus. The food from Heirloom was delicious and on theme. Finally, Janice Wong didn’t disappoint with her desserts, including the cutest cactus macarons and a rose gold drip cake. I thought the final result was a dream! In the end, Lea was smiling, happy, and felt celebrated. I hope everyone is inspired to throw a backyard birthday party. We all need a little love and joy right now.”
