Boho Rainbow Birthday Party
This is what Kerrith shared about the party:
“We absolutely love Chenel of the popular Raising Wildlings blog and have worked with her for the past two years on both of her son’s birthday parties. We have been impatiently waiting to style her beautiful daughter Amelia Skye’s first birthday and not even the national lock down could stop us. So, we just scaled down the size of the original celebration in order to create something special.
It was a typical rainy and wintry Cape Town day which meant we had to convert Chenel’s playroom / study into the party room using the boho rainbow theme as our inspiration. Chenel has always loved this design element which meant it was the natural choice for the theme. Especially since Amelia is their rainbow baby!
Decor & Desserts:
Our wonderful industry friends really came through for us and ensured our vision was brought to life. We collaborated with Erin and Warren from Happinest Hire, who created the most incredible rainbow backdrop, round plinths and a mesh backdrop. Next, we styled that alongside some items from their Bunny & Hutch range. It included a dipped bench and table set and custom painted rainbow chairs. Kikki & Franki created the custom name board which formed part of our backdrop. Finally, Mia and Emma, from Cape Town Balloon, brought our balloon vision to life with the most gorgeous balloon garland.
Year after year, we work with Sabena from Fairy Cakes, who outdid herself with the two tier rainbow and macrame cake. She also made the accompanying sweet treats of macarons, cupcakes, iced biscuits, marshmallows and rice crispie squares.
We finished the look with our popular PVC party bags filled with more treats, all with matching party stationery and strawberry milk bottles. Plus, custom party favours included mini play dough pots from Dough Animal.”
