Glam Three-Rex Dinosaur Party
This is what Ahzahdeh shared about the party:
“My little one was turning three and is in LOVE with dinosaurs, so naturally we had to throw a three-rex birthday party. The only problem was that most dinosaur parties tend to be very boy-oriented, and while my little one loves dinosaurs, she also loves tutus and pink. So, I decided on a dino party with a color palette of pink, hot pink, orange, turquoise, and yellow to suit my little one’s personality.
Set-up & Party Outfit:
For the entryway into the party, I made a quick and easy tassel fringe using crepe streamers from Party City. It helped tie in the party colors and also separated the party from the rest of the house.
To make the party backdrop, I started with a huge roll of pink paper from a school supply store and taped it to a wall. Then, I used my Cricut to cut out jungle leaves in all of the party colors. I created a matching balloon garland to go around the outer edge of the paper. Finally, I had New Project Designs create a Jurassic World sign, customized with my daughter’s name and painted to match the party colors.
I ordered a custom dinosaur tail that matched the party colors (pink and orange), which my daughter wore along with a shirt and skirt. She had SO much fun running around and chasing our guests while pretending to be a ferocious dinosaur.
We kept the desserts simple– cake, chocolate covered pretzels, cookies, and donuts– all in the same pink, blue, yellow color scheme. Wooden crates and gold plates helped give the party a “Jurassic” look. For the food, I created a custom sign that said: “Zahrasaurus Treats” where we served “Pterodactyl Wings”, a “Nacho Cheese Volcano”, and “Prehistoric Punch.”
Favors & Activities:
During the party, guests got to wear dinosaur party hats (easily made, thanks to the help of PrintAPartyCo) and wave around dinosaur wands. I made the wands by gluing plastic mini dinosaur toys onto wooden dowels. Then, I spray-painted them all pink, purple, yellow, or orange, and attached a few ribbons. We also set up a station with a dinosaur coloring page purchased from Caravan Shoppe where our guests could color a dinosaur (using dinosaur crayons!) and write their name next to it. This created a unique keepsake for our daughter to treasure forever.
We had a roaring good time!”
