Bridgerton Inspired Easter Party
Bridgerton Easter Party Details:
This is what was shared about styling the party-
Inspiration & Setting-
“Earlier this year, we stopped into a local antique shop and an idea was born… a vintage inspired Easter tea party was in our future and we couldn’t wait to start planning! With it being almond blossom season in California, we knew we wanted to incorporate the blossoms into the setting. We found Golden Ranch, just outside of Tracy, and it was the perfect location to do just that.
About halfway through planning our vintage Easter party, we started watching the Netflix show, ‘Bridgerton’. From the bright dresses, proper tea service and gossip, we knew we had to work this theme into our party. So, we decided to ‘spill the tea.’ We added little elements throughout the shoot like bumble bees, society papers within the invitation and ‘Your Grace’ even had a seat at the table.
In House of Fete style, we also had to add color. So, along with florals, we incorporated a rainbow by adding colorful butterflies. We added butterflies in watercolor, stained glass, acrylic and of course, sugar.
Our first big project was the table. We wanted to transform our palette table to reflect a pastel rainbow. We took inspiration from @athomewithashley and her signature color palette and Marissa painted each row of the table a different color. It turned out so cool, we will probably never change it.
At the center of the our Bridgerton tea table, we placed a runner of rainbow colored glass, bowls and cake stands. We filled everything to the brim with tea sandwiches, floral sugars and enough candy to make the Easter Bunny proud. Then, since no tea party is complete without tea, each child had their own custom teapot adorned with their silhouette. Kelsey used Mod Podge and paper napkins to decorate each teapot with a floral motif and add each guest’s custom silhouette made by Dapper and Darling Shop.
We had a LOT of fun with the table settings. It was one of our favorite things to dream up. We had an original idea to have acrylic circles made to fit our paper plates. That way, we could press confetti, dried florals and watercolor butterflies onto each plate and still top it with all the sweets. It gave each setting its own unique color and whimsy. The finishing touch to the table was the hand painted cookies of the sweetest Easter characters. The cookies adorned each place setting alongside a butterfly macaron. It was all just perfection.
Tea Cart & Carriage-
Our often used ‘tea cart’ found a home next to a real vintage carriage that was already on the property. We couldn’t pass up using this piece of history that looked like the Duke may have just stepped out of it. We embellished both the table and carriage with a rainbow of babies breath to add a whimsical pop of color. They were also adorned with handmade, stained glass butterflies. It was a dream come true.
We gave each party guest a color that was reflected on their tea pot, in their outfit and even on their Easter basket. During the party, the kids collected eggs, snacked on chocolate bunnies and ran as far as they could through the trees. We spilled the tea and would have made Lady Whistledown proud.”
