Tropical Palm Springs Fiesta Details:
Inspiration and Decor-
“This virtual Palm Springs Fiesta collaboration was inspired by the vibrant colors of the desert mixed with tropical flare! This party theme is so versatile it will carry you from Spring all the way through Summer!
We started off the party with a splash enjoying some delicious bites poolside. We dined against a festive backdrop of fresh florals, succulents and a flamingo float that gave us total Palm Springs vibes!
For dinner, we served carnitas tacos with all the fixings. They were accompanied by corn salad and fresh fruit accented by blood oranges, juicy limes and fresh cut cilantro!
What is a fiesta without chips and dip!? The dip table was draped with white gauze and a ton of fresh floral arrangements. A white papel picado banner hung above the table and added a dreamy fiesta vibe. A DIY hand painted wood sign played in with the poolside theme and read “take a dip.” For a pop of color, a wooden bead and yarn tassel garland by Rusty Chic Decor hung on the front of the table.
A variety of dips including salsa, queso and guacamole were served. We served the guacamole in an avocado shell on a terra cotta saucer atop a palm leaf. The large chip basket lined with a hot pink scarf added texture and encouraged guests to keep coming back for more snacks! We labeled each dip with a terra cotta clay sign.
As the saying goes, “Tequila, Fiesta, Siesta, Repeat.” So, of course, we had to include a festive margarita bar for happy hour! We served our spicy blood orange margaritas on a vintage tea wagon. The cart was draped in a white scarf, adorned with succulents, fresh florals, terra cotta accents and printables by Pixels And Pop! Optional garnish items included limes and blood orange wedges along with a tajin salt mixture!
Dinner was set up picnic style to enjoy the sunset and water views. We used an orange Turkish rug, rattan table and leather poufs to create the seating area. The table was lined with palms, cacti, succulents, fresh cut citrus and a beautiful floral arrangement. Each place setting included: a terra cotta charger, white dinner plate, fresh cut palm leaf, custom leather name card, a lime slice, vintage amber goblet with a flamingo drink stirrer and hand dyed hot pink napkins.
We placed a bamboo screen behind the table which created the perfect backdrop. The screen was decorated with an all white organic balloon garland, papel picado and bright florals including gerber daisies and ranunculus. We filled palm plants and the rattan table with more fresh blooms and cut citrus. It matched the sky as the guests watched the sunset.
In the end, it was a colorful, festive fiesta night to remember!” – Lori Goldman | Pop of Gold
