“We just got a new pool this year so we knew we were going to have a pool party for my son Miles’s eleventh birthday. He really wanted to watch a movie with his friends in the water and I thought what better to watch than Jaws! We decided on a Jawsome theme and carried it through in all the little details.
The cake and invite were inspired by the movie cover for Jaws. I purchased $5 tubes from Target and had a friend create the vinyl names that were easily transferred. These were used to float while watching the movie and as favors! We served a spread of sandwiches, pasta, and fruit in a watermelon carved like a shark. The biggest hit was the homemade pina coladas.
