Pastel Rainbow Unicorn Party Details:
“We’ve been obsessed with the concept of doing an event with 100% forever florals. So when a client approached us to do a pastel rainbow party, we jumped at the chance to pitch this idea. Luckily, our client was on board!
We knew that for this party we had to keep everything pretty muted so for the color palette we chose all soft pastels. Instead of doing a literal rainbow backdrop, we opted for a rainbow shaped arch from Boovara Designs and had balloons draping over it.
We kept it simple for the desserts and had our pastel rainbow cake on a single column in front of the arch. We also had cookies and cupcakes (all desserts were from Birdie Bakery) and the cookies were displayed on the main kids’ table and doubled as decor. For the cookies, we had Miley make rainbows and unicorns with little stars and hearts to accompany them.
The tabletops were adorned with dried floral centerpieces flanked by bud vases. We found the tableware from Meri Meri. The best part of this whole set-up was that we didn’t have to worry about the florals wilting in the sun! With the summer heat, it’s always so hard working with fresh florals, especially in direct sunlight. We have found that working with dried florals is ideal during the summer since it’s so stress-free!
