Romantic & Elegant Garden Wedding Details:
Inspiration & Decor-
“Simon and Ashleigh’s wedding, with its pastel hues and feminine florals, was just as romantic as it was elegant. It was hosted in the magnificent gardens of Gabbinbar Homestead, an historic Australian Homestead destination wedding venue.
Ashleigh spent the morning preparing in the luxurious bride’s retreat. Her breathtaking dress featured layers of soft, flowing tulle with a delicate side-shoulder bow adding a touch of understated elegance. Ashleigh’s bridesmaids looked equally sophisticated in mauve, full length gowns. Mauve was at the center of the day’s styling and colour palette.
The decor featured a stunning arbor festooned with soft pink roses and pastel peonies. Some highlights of the event were a photo cameo with the couple’s beloved pooch and stunning overhead fireworks during the cake cutting. There was also a late-night photo shoot held beneath the 100,000 fairy lights hanging in the Gabbinbar night garden. In the end, the day was a floral-infused summer wedding celebration.
Wedding & Reception-
Ashleigh and Simon said ‘I do’ in front of their nearest and dearest in a heartfelt ceremony beneath the homestead’s pavilion, nestled amongst the expansive gardens. Guests mingled, sipped champagne and enjoyed canapes beneath the shade of the towering Moreton Bay Fig trees in the garden during the afternoon. At sunset, guests were welcomed by soft candlelight as they entered the glass-ceiling conservatory for the reception. The tables were set with long white linens, delicate floral centrepieces and mauve linen napkins.
During the cutting of the cake, everyone was surprised with an overhead fireworks display. Then, guests danced the night away in the ballroom. Finally, Simon and Ashleigh departed down the homestead’s front stairs via a sea of guests farewell-ing them with sparklers.” – Anje | Gabbinbar Homestead
