Home Alone Christmas Party Details:

“Home Alone has been one of my favourite Christmas movies since my sister and I pooled our money together and bought the VHS back in the 90s LOL. I watch it every Christmas and honestly, it just gets better with age! I actually wanted to put together a Home Alone themed shoot last year for its 30th anniversary (you know, the year when we were actually HOME ALONE for Christmas – thanks covid) but it just didn’t work out….So glad we were able to put it together this year though!

The Details:

There are too many Home Alone references to count in this shoot but if you try, I think you’ll find at least 20 of them!
We started with a vibrant balloon garland paired with a custom-made banner that says, “Merry Christmas ya filthy animal” (ok so technically this line is from Home Alone 2 but it still counts!).

Feature Table:

Our tablescape included a Christmas tree cake surrounded by a train and a custom-made Michael Jordan topper as a nod to the scene in the movie where Kevin fools the wet bandits into thinking he’s throwing a party. Each place setting included a pizza cookie complete with a mini “Little Nero’s Pizza” box that we ordered on Amazon and decorated with a sticker label. We also included a can of Pepsi for each guest, plus straws featuring various lines from the film (including “Fuller go easy on the Pepsi!”). I found Home Alone themed napkins at Homesense a few years ago and knew they would come in handy one day! We also decorated the table with “micro machines” and spiky ornaments like Kevin uses as booby traps for the wet bandits, plus some vignettes like Buzz’s trunk and Kevin’s battle plan.
