“The inspiration for this first holy communion celebration, all came from a photograph of a beautiful tiered cake made to look as if some beautiful stone creation from another time, adorned with delicate blooms. Everything about this image evoked a feeling of ethereal texture, but in a fresh modern way. And that’s exactly how I wanted this al fresco tent celebration to feel … from the delicate romantic handmade paper stationery, natural textural elements like woods, clays, organic fabrics and a gorgeous display that resembled a rich aged plaster wall covered in clouds of baby’s breath! It was such creative delight transforming an often traditional celebration into something special, see all the details below and hope it inspires you as well…

Now for the main display, which served as the background for the show-stopping cake created by Lady Lia’s Cakes who interpreted our vision better than even imagined, with a beautiful textured pattern and clusters of dried blooms that tied in the different colors used throughout. As was the custom-made backdrop by GoldyWay that mimiced the look of an aged plaster wall. The perfect softness that would naturally blend alongside the climbing billows of baby’s breath.
