Snow White Baptism Celebration Details:
This is what Eleni said about planning the party- With snow falling in Chicago, we could not wait to put together this wintery event, based on our interpretation of Snow White, for baby Georgia’s Baptism Celebration. Since the event was in February, we mixed reds and pinks together with pops of red apples instead of the traditional red, blue and yellow Snow White that we all know and love. We wanted the event to be elegant enough for the adults to enjoy the party but also to create a fun and whimsical design for all the little ones attending the event as well. The gold touches found throughout the room as well as all the mirror details were very regal and suitable for a young queen!
The traditional place card table was replaced with gold ornate mirrors with guests’ names and table numbers written on the mirrors in gold paint. Birch poles, curly willow branches, and moss were used to create a small Snow White forest entrance and hang the seating chart mirrors.
The pretty pale pinks linens and black Chiavari chairs worked perfectly with the themed inspired decor. We used gold hand-held mirrors as table numbers frames in some of the arrangements among a medley of different pink and red garden roses. We wanted the greenery in the floral arrangements to feel very wild and forest like– nothing too structured, and the black fern coordinated with the black chairs perfectly. A shiny red apple was found at each table, whether it was in the arrangements or in the glass gold pedestals.
A Tip for making shiny red faux apples is to use a little bit of olive oil on a paper towel and rub the apple with it. Voila! A shiny red apple, looking juicy enough to try eating.
The head table was a cluster of candle holders in various heights, gold frames and a wonderful large glass red apple. The large floral arrangement placed around the candle holders was low and full, as to avoid blocking the view of the guests sitting at the the table.
The little gold Godiva chocolate favors were placed at each place setting with pretty bold pink ribbons.
