Tutti Frutti Party Details:
This is what Audrey said about styling the party- “I chose the Tutti Frutti theme because it is one of our daughter’s nicknames and I’m so glad I did! I knew we needed bright, tropical colors, but I also wanted to do something a little different so I paired them with black and white accents. I started with the fruit illustrations, then found a fun brush script font that I loved and designed the invitations. After that everything just sort of came together!
My husband built a little fruit stand for the dessert table that turned out to be my favorite feature of the party. I also love the watermelon seed table runners that I made with a hand carved potato stamp. We served burgers, beans and potato salad for dinner and had a couple fruity drinks to choose from. Dessert consisted of strawberry birthday cake, adorable fruit shaped cookies from my friend Shelley at The Flying Cookie, and fruit cups.
The party was at a community center adjoining the local city park, so the only planned activity for the kids was the playground. Honestly I think kids like that better than organized games anyway. We also had some really cute fruit tattoos for them to put on, and provided little canisters of Runts for party favors. I’m so happy with the way this party came together, and I hope you like it too!”
