This is what Sarah said about styling the party- “The family of our celebrant are huge followers of top cooking shows. For their daughter’s first birthday party, they wanted it to revolve around their happy place- the kitchen! As their stylist, I had to find the perfect recipe for the party decor. I wanted to fill it up with real kitchenware without making it look like an adult event.

There are different ways to style one’s kitchen. For this party, I wanted a playful look so I decided to choose a retro ambiance. The eye-catching combination of red and aqua blue and simple prints were my choices to achieve this look. Additionally, it’s hitting two birds with one stone as the color red is scientifically proven to arouse our senses and bring out gastronomic delight. Everything about this party was thematic- from the family’s matching outfits to every area decorated up to a certain party activity. We also conducted ourselves- a “Decorate your own Apron” activity. I hope these shots from our event will all make you hungry.”
