Elegant Pastel Unicorn Party Details:
This is what Melina shared about styling the party- “For Snow’s first birthday we decided to do a super sweet pastel Unicorn party! Her dessert bar backdrop was inspired by a colorful blue & pink sunset. The backdrop was painted by hand with a glittering song lyric quote from the song Cinema. We lovelovelove that song and knew we had to pick one of the lines! That’s how we came to finally land on the quote ” Stars spell out your name”. Along with the sparkly quote was an equally custom laser cut white glittery unicorn.
Desserts and Decor
The tassel in front was made by the amazing Glam Fete. For desserts we had a 3 layer chocolate cake with fabulous cupcakes by Gi & Jo Cakes along with strawberry iced donuts.
Instead of renting chair covers I realized it’s wayyy cheaper to just buy your own! I used Linen Tablecloth.com and ended up saving vs. renting them. Above the children’s table were hanging pink clouds. They gave the entire setting a dream like vibe–for only $15! All you need is a couple round paper lanterns, batting, glue gun. If you want to make colorful clouds you can use spray paint. For the centerpieces we bought several different sized glass vases then wrapped them in glitter paper. Super easy to make & they looked adorable!
For the pinata I used an online template to cut the shape out of cardboard. I’ll be honest- I tried wrapping the pinata the old fashioned way layer by layer but after two hours I was over that. Since all the stores have tinsel right now I picked up some tinsel garland and ended up wrapping the pinata in it. Boom 30 minutes later pinata is finished! To add an extra measure of cuteness a fabric “tail” was added to the bottom as well as cascading purple butterflies.”
