Merry & Bright Christmas Party
Merry & Bright Christmas Party Details:
Alicia shared the following about styling this darling event- “Christmas is almost here, and that means tons of holiday fun! Fa-la-la-la-la in love with our charming Sparkly Christmas party! Invite jolly little elves over to add a pinch of merry and a dash of bright while decorating and enjoying scrumptious holiday goodies. Were excited to share some decor and activity ideas to inspire your own Christmas festivities!
The party invitation from Minted reminded us of snowflakes and set the stage for the pink, red, mint and green color scheme used throughout the celebration.
Ready Decor
The great thing about the holidays is that your home is already decorated for the festivities. A sparkly tree instantly makes the space feel celebration-ready. Here we used paper fans, holly garland, balloons, tissue tassel garland, pom pom garland and glittering silver trees to transform the space into a magical winter wonderland.
Party paperware can add so much to the decor, and these Santa and reindeer plates, cups and napkins do not disappoint!
There are so many sweet tooth-enticing elements in this party, from the cake to the cupcakes to the sugar cookies! For the cake, we frosted it white and then sprinkled it with shaved coconut to look like snow. We stuck in this adorable Be Jolly cake topper as the finishing touch. The cupcakes are simply frosted white, and we added red polka dot cupcake wrappers and some star toppers for instant cuteness!
Sugar Cookie Obsession
We have a slight obsession with sugar cookies, and who wouldnt when they look as incredible as these Santa and Rudolph faces! For your party activity, set up a cookie decorating station with different Christmas-shaped, plain sugar cookies along with frosting and candies. The kids will have so much fun decorating and eating their creations.
If youre hosting a party for older children, you can challenge them a bit more with a tutorial for creating different faces and designs.
We think cookie decorating is much easier than building and decorating gingerbread houses, and they taste better too!
Party Activity Possibilities
Other party activities could include writing letters to Santa, reading The Night Before Christmas, and if youre really feeling the holiday spirit, you could even have Santa make an appearance in person! Give each child a chance to sit on Santas lap and share his or her wish list. Dont forget to take a picture and have Santa give the kids a candy cane or special treat.
Such a delightful way to spend a December afternoon, surrounded by sweets and sparkles. Wishing you a magical holiday season!”
