Colorful Cinco de Mayo Fiesta Details:

“The inspiration for this party came from an authentic Mexican fiesta. Cinco de Mayo is traditionally not celebrated in Mexico, with the exception of Puebla. However, since it is so well known in the states, we wanted to present it in a way that is authentic to Mexico.

So, while there is not a lot of fuss, there is a lot of color, love and food. We incorporated Mexican blankets, known as sarapes, and also included classic Mexican flavors. Some of the flavors included coffee, cocoa and cinnamon. We also had concha macarons flavored with dulce de leche and horchata flavored pinata shaped macarons (filled with sprinkles, of course). Don’t forget to break them open! Finally, we had caramel and spicy mango flavored sombreros and tiny nopales which were classic margarita flavored. 

We filled the table with DIY maracas, tacos, tequila and personalized limes. It was small, but a festive fiesta for friends.” – House Of Fete
